Curriculum resources from ICO to help teach personal information

As well as all the usual e-safety risks, one that can be overlooked but is hugely important is personal information.  Specifically, what is personal information and the rights of children/young people.

The Information Commissioner’s Office have developed some lesson plans with accompanying simple Powerpoints for all key stages and are in line with elements of the new (2014) national curriculum.  Both primary and secondary resources can be downloaded straight from the ICO website HERE

  1. It’s absolutely vital to teach e-safety to students from a very young age – and for staff and parents to be aware of its principles too. Some computer technology companies that provide equipment, servers and support also offer training in e-safety and the most up to date and relevant information.
